When war is over, there's nothing better than coming home to a loved one... as you can see from this classic embrace. It's a beautifully observed piece, from the emotion of the pose - the young lady balanced coyly in the soldier's arms - to the contrast of his prim and proper army uniform with her blithe green dress and yellow hat.
